photovoltaic panels produce electricity when exposed to
sunshine. Solar hot water panels produce hot water by
letting the energy of the sun heat water running through
copper pipes in solar collectors.

Am I a candidate for a solar hot water system?
You need to have the following in order for solar hot water
to be economically viable for you:
1. Have a southern facing roof or ground area with no
shading.
2. Have the right tilt to the panels - approximately 15% at
least.
3. Have space on your roof or ground area to mount the
panels.
4. Have an accessible path between 40' - 80' necessary for
required hardware (wires/tubing, etc)
